2013-2014 Morrison Award Recipients
APPLICATION DEADLINE: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9th at 4:00 PM
The Morrison Scholarship is intended to assist talented art majors in need of financial support towards completion of their degree. Awards may be used for costs incurred for tuition or supplies.
Priority will be given to undergraduate accepted art majors in good standing. Graduate students who demonstrate financial need are also eligible to apply. Students may apply each semester; however, only one award will be given per year per student recipient. (ie. Fall recipients will not be eligible for Spring awards).
Applications are available in the Department of Art Office (202 CFA). Financial information, as indicated on the application, must be provided by the student. The student must have a full-time faculty member support their application by writing a brief recommendation. (If you wish to ask an adjunct instructor or one of the techs to write your recommendation, it must be endorsed by a full- time faculty member.) Applications are submitted to the Department of Art office for review by the Scholarship Committee. Late applications will not be accepted. All questions to Becky Koenig – email@example.com
Please allow sufficient time before the deadline date for your faculty sponsor to review your application and write their recommendation of support.
Applicants will be assessed based on financial need, academic standing and a plan for using the funds. The Department of Art Scholarship Committee will then review the applications and make the final award decisions. Awardees are notified by mail and are required to write a letter of thanks to the scholarship sponsor.
