Juror and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Professor Reinhard Reitzenstein, presenting awards
UB’s Department of Art is hosting a regional exhibit of work by outstanding high school art students from the WNY area in our Lower Visual Studies Gallery. We invite art teachers from all of the area high schools to submit one to four pieces of your best student work. A maximum four works from each school is guaranteed acceptance into the exhibition.
Prizes will be awarded to the top four works as selected by Juror Reinhard Reitzenstein, Associate Professor of Art and Director of Undergraduate Studies.
All media is accepted: drawing, painting, digital work, photography, sculpture, video, ceramics and design. Unique methods of display are welcome. Please provide written instructions for display attached to the piece. All 2D work must have its top clearly indicated. The frame or mount for a piece should have stable hardware for hanging or margins so the work may be displayed with exhibition pins or magnets. Sculpture may be free standing on the floor or displayed on pedestals that we provide. Video and media submissions should be in MP4 format provided on a DVD or flash drive. We will make every effort to accommodate technology within reasonable limits.
