Photography is an expanded visual, lens based, discipline. Whether images emanate from darkroom or software; from view camera, Holga, DSLR or cell phone, the photography curriculum at UB is conceptually driven, promoting experimentation and interdisciplinary exploration. Students in the photography concentration will be fearless creators, motivated and independent young artists open to all possibilities of expression. Informed by historical development, contemporary concerns and anticipating the future of photography, you will engage a critical analysis about form, intention and meaning.
