Please join Master of Fine Arts student Natalie DiIenno for her thesis exhibition, Out of the Blue (Into the Void). Spanning the past two years of artistic production, the exhibit features large scale photographic prints and light installations. DiIenno’s work seeks to investigate the inherent nature of photography as a light-sensitive medium. The colors and scale of these works collectively create an environment that conveys a relationship to vastness. Deep seas, skies, and space—the infinite void.

DiIenno explains “the installation provides space and comfort to the viewer through a removal of the world via immersion into an intense blue/black void. This immersion is an abstraction of the aesthetic sublime experience, articulated through the reduction of figurative imagery into biomorphic shapes, light, landscapes, colors, and the cosmos.”
