January 28, 2017: The UB Department of Art hosted this year’s annual BrandHack event. In its 10th year, this fun, fast-paced competition partners professional Art Directors with student graphic designers to create a new brand identity system for a local non-profit in under four hours! This year’s client was Danceability, a local non-profit dance studio that services those with special needs between the ages of 3-70 years old.
The first place winning team lead by LUMINUS Art Director John English were: Brieanna Bourdage, Rachel Coan, Nick Jensen, Mitchell Krumm and Casey Ridings.
The second place winning team led by UB Graphic Design alumna April Brown (currently Art Director at The Farm) were a hybrid group with Buffalo State designers and included UB Graphic Design students Jessica Smith and Kate Whitecar.
