Now Hiring a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Photography

The Department of Art at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York (UB) is seeking a professionally active photography-based artist with a strong exhibition record and growing national reputation to teach photography at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. This is a tenure track, assistant professor position with full benefits and salary commensurate with experience. In addition to teaching 2 courses per semester the candidate is expected to mentor graduate students, to head the photography concentration, and to share in departmental and university governance. UB is a tier 1 research institution with generous opportunities for funding research and travel to present work.

The successful candidate will have the vision and innovation to guide the photography curriculum into the future with a multidisciplinary approach that integrates photography into the overall undergraduate and graduate studio art program. He or she may also be called upon to teach an occasional theory course or courses such as senior thesis, foundations or general education seminar.
