Please join MFA student Tommy Nguyen for the opening reception of his MFA Thesis work, Me PLUSH You Long Time, on January 23rd, from 5–8pm.  The exhibition will run from Friday, January 23, 2015 – Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Buffalo Arts Studio.

For this special project, the Joanna Angie Gallery will become the magical world of PLUSH. PLUSH invites you to become who you want to become through wearable sculpture that seeks to transform the body and form a collective that embraces and augments body imagery in all its forms. It is costume, armor, functional weapon, and most importantly, enabler. Nguyen invites the viewer to wear PLUSH in whatever way one chooses and to maybe lose one’s inhibitions and rediscover those moments in which we were simply becoming.
