A new audio-video installation by Department of Art Professor Millie Chen, entitled Tour, will be on view at the Gallery for New Media in the Albright-Knox Art Gallery from January 30th until May 18, 2014.
The Albright-Knox describes Tour as an installation that “contemplates arguably ‘healed’ genocide sites,” provoking questions for its viewers:
How can we sustain the memory of that which has become invisible? How can we possibly represent such horrific history and maintain the critical specificity of the local within a narrative about the global?
