Call for Entries: CFA Atrium Cafe Mural Contest – Deadlines Extended

Update: Winning teams of up to 6 VS students will receive $300 in Gift Certificates from Campus Dining & Shops, to be shared by however many are on the team.

The entire interior of the Cafe does not need to be covered with your mural. You may choose to cover large areas in solid color, or leave them white.

Deadlines extended: Entries must be received by Tue Nov 22, 5p.m. Final proposals must be received by Dec 2, 5p.m.

Pickup your entry forms from CFA 202, and are also attached here. Complete and return the form to Peggy in CFA 202 by Nov 22. Final submissions of your proposal can be turned in to CFA 202 by Dec 2, or emailed to u.eats.b@gmail.com.

UB Campus Dining & Shops, in conjunction with the Department of Art and EATS (SA Academic Club) is sponsoring a CFA Atrium Cafe Mural Contest. Individuals or teams of up to 6 Visual Studies students may enter and submit a design. The theme must represent all areas of student activities within the Center for the Arts, including Visual Studies, Media Study, and Theatre and Dance. Winners will each receive a $50 Gift Certificate from Campus Dining & Shops. Students will paint the mural during sometime around finals week, Dec 12, 2011. Materials will be supplied.

Requirements:

  • Entrants must be Visual Studies Majors.
  • No more than 6 people to a group.
  • Design can take advantage of one or more surfaces within the Cafe. Some surfaces may be painted with solid colors. Use this template as a guide.
  • Applications must be received by October 31st.
  • Final Design design must be received by November 18th.

Applications are available here or in the Visual Studies office, CFA 202. Completed forms can be handed in to the Visual Studies office. If your design was digitally made it can be submitted to u.eats.b@gmail.com.
