The Department of Art at the University at Buffalo is now accepting applications to its MFA program. Concentrations within the MFA are self-defining and flexible, supported by the diverse range of research interests and skills of our faculty, visiting artists, designers and critics. All MFA students are given secure studios with 24-7 access. Teaching Assistants (18) instruct courses printmaking, painting, drawing, design, digital media, photography, sculpture and foundations. TAs are renewable, and come with a stipend of $14K per year plus full-tuition scholarship. Application Deadline: February 10 to be considered for a Teaching Assistantship. Early applications received before Jan. 10 are also considered for College Fellowships.
With its vibrant arts scene, low cost of living, and extensive park systems, Buffalo is ranked the “top Mid-Sized City arts destination in the U.S.” (AmericanStyle Magazine readers poll) and the “#2 best place to relocate” by BestPlaces.net.
