Upcoming UB AIGA Events: Helvetica, Open House, preliminary portfolio reviews

October 16, 2008  by: Admin

Friday, October 17. We are holding a screening of the movie Helvetica in the Flint Community Center at 6pm. Everyone, not just designers or AIGA members, is welcome.
Saturday, October 18. UB Open House. Meet us on the sculpture pad at 10am to show interested students how AIGA does design.
Saturday, October 25 from 12-4 in room 142 (computer lab): Preliminary portfolio review for students applying to the communication design concentration. This is an opportunity for students to receive feedback and advice before the actual department review. A sign-up sheet will be on the lab door.
UB AIGA is a newly formed chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Artists, a nationwide professional association for designers. Here at UB, we are a new type of creative community where students can collaborate and create beyond the classroom.  For more info, email our president Jocelyn Bailey (jtbailey@buffalo.edu), or me (mdmeaser@buffalo.edu) and I will add you to the AIGA listserv. Check out and join our Facebook group.
